WOW!!! What a concert!!! I am go glad that we attended your concert at St Paul’s, and it was great to see you again, as it has been a while. I thought you all looked absolutely beautiful, very relaxed and totally in command of yourselves. You gave me the impression that you were thoroughly enjoying yourselves and happy to be performing. Maybe it was because it was your show and your music, but I have never seen or heard you better or enjoyed you more. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and was so glad to be there. I look forward to more concerts like this one, or anything that you do for that matter. Thank you so much.

The show was ABSOLUTELY spectacular! We loved every minute of it! The electricity coming from the stage was amazing. The sparks were flying and the soloists were smoking’. I can’t begin to describe how magnificent you all sounded! And “your” band…they were so awesome!

Awesome! It was so good to see and hear enthusiastic people with great sounding voices. Your voices blended so beautifully in what is an acoustically excellent building. You also all looked so bright and enthusiastic. It is clear that one of the strengths of your choir is the breadth of experience and professionalism. I heard lots of positive comments afterwards – both about the whole choir and the soloists. The band seems to get taken for granted, but they were great too!

Apart from being exceptionally joyful, there seemed to be no end to the number of soloists who stepped into the limelight throughout the evening. Little wonder they produced such great music with that much talent to rely on.

I joined the choir after a friend convinced me to give it a go. I’ve always loved singing but never felt I was good enough to be in a choir, but being part of Edwin’s choir is more about the spirit of singing, than talent alone, although we do sound pretty good! It’s a fantastic atmosphere, with fantastic people and I would highly recommend it to anyone who just enjoys singing!

I have seen the Community Gospel Choir on several occasions.They have sung in the Seventh-day Adventist Church,at our Christmas Carol service,and recently at our Concert at Easter.They are a very lively group.Their enthusiasm can be seen on their faces, and they sing with real heart and conviction.I can recommend them for all types of functions where vibrant singing is required and appreciated.

I joined the choir after a workshop advertised ‘Come and have a go at gospel singing’ in the Huddersfield Examiner. It seems like a safe opportunity to give it a go without feeling pressured or worried about not being good enough. Well that was back in November 2009 and I’ve been singing with the choir ever since and have loved every minute. It has been great seeing the choir grow from a handful of singers to now a full blown choir. It’s so good for the soul, such a relaxed and uplifting environment with a great group of people – I always leave our weekly practise feeling on a high! So if it’s something that you’ve always wanted to do but never felt quite brave enough – come and have a go, you’ll love it!

I had always wanted to be in a gopsel choir, and sing gospel music. It was quite by accident that I found out about the Huddersfield Community Gospel Choir. Since joining in around September 2010 I have taken part in three performances, with plenty more on the way.
If you want to sing the gospel, get down there and take part. Under Edwin’s leadership we all continue to grow as singers and its a no pressure environment where you’ll soon make friends. I felt like one of the gang in next to no time, and I’d strongly recommend this group to anyone, any time!
So whether you were born to sing the gospel, or you just want to have a go, Huddersfield Community Gospel Choir is the place to be. I’ll see you there!

What a great choir! I saw them perform at the Hudawi Centre on Saturday night at the Wome in Action Concert. They were brilliant. I was moved to tears by the song I Almost Let Go, it really touched me. Really looking forward to there next performance. Keep up the good work guys.

I saw the Huddersfield Community Gospel Choir performing at a fund raising concert at Crosland Moor SDA Church. They were absolutely fantastic, a very uplifting and spirit filled performance, sung from the heart with real passion. Each member of this beautifully diverse choir looked as though they were enjoying every minute of it, their smiles added to the overall enjoyment of their performance. Well done, can’t wait to see you perform again.

I joined the HCGC in April 2010 and it has got better and better. I find it a great way to escape my hectic working week singing in a relaxed, non-threatening environment and often find it very uplifting. The choir is fun and all share a passion for singing regardless of age, ethnicity, religion or ability…….which is good for me as I can hold a tune but am no Aretha Franklin! I have enjoyed concerts at Huddersfield’s Hudawi Centre, Dewsbury’s party in the park and church fundraising events. A biased 5 out of 5 from me 🙂
